ЄС звинуватив Apple у порушенні нових правил цифрової конкуренції
У понеділок регулятори Європейського Союзу звинуватили Apple у порушенні нових правил цифрової конкуренції, пише Associated Press.
Йдеться про нав’язування правил на своєму застосунку додатків App Store, які не дозволяють розробникам програмного забезпечення направляти користувачів на інші майданчики.
Європейська комісія заявила, що згідно з попередніми висновками її розслідування, виробник iPhone порушив Закон про цифрові ринки (ЗЦР).

Збірник правил, також відомий як DMA, є широким набором правил, спрямованих на те, щоб запобігти технічним “воротарям” захоплювати цифрові ринки.
ЄК заявила, що правила Apple для її App Store “заважають розробникам додатків вільно спрямовувати споживачів до альтернативних каналів пропозицій і контенту”.
Apple може зараз відреагувати на висновки. Єврокомісія прийме остаточне рішення щодо того, чи технічний гігант дотримується вимог блоку до березня 2025 року.
Комісія також розпочне нове розслідування, перевіряючись чи нові договірні умови, які Apple запропонувала розробникам додатків, відповідають вище згаданому закону.
В Apple повідомили, що протягом останніх кількох місяців компанія “зробила низку змін, щоб відповідати ЦЗР у відповідь на відгуки розробників і Європейської комісії”. “Ми впевнені, що наш план відповідає закону”, ‒ йдеться у пресрелізі.
- У березні Apple, Google і Meta потрапили під перше розслідування у межах Закону ЄС про цифрові ринки. Порушення можуть призвести до штрафів у розмірі до 10% світового річного обороту компаній.
- У лютому британська газета Financial Times написала, що ЄС накладе на Apple перший в історії штраф у справі про доступ до музичних додатків. Тоді повідомлялося, що з технічного гіганта можуть стягнути 500 мільйонів євро.
