Ізраїль приймає запрошення ЄС обговорити двосторонні відносини, але з умовами
Ізраїль погодився взяти участь у засіданні Раді асоціацій щодо його двосторонніх відносин з Європейським Союзом, пишуть Euronews з посиланням на джерела.
Але Єрусалим відхилив пропозицію Верховного представника Європейського Союзу з питань закордонних справ Жозепа Борреля, щоб зустріч скликали спеціально для вирішення ситуації у Смузі Гази.
Однак в офіційному листі-відповіді Ізраїлю до ЄС не йдеться ні про конкретні питання порядку денного, ні про період чи дату, коли зустріч може відбутися.
Наприкінці травня Боррель оголосив, що закличе Ізраїль якнайшвидше обговорити “ситуацію в Газі” та “права людини”, дотримуватися яких Ізраїль зобов’язаний відповідно до Угоди про асоціацію 2000 року, у якій викладається правова база для торгівлі та співпраці між євроблоком та Ізраїлем. Він також зазначив, що зустріч дасть можливість обговорити з урядом Нетаньягу дотримання ним нещодавнього рішення Міжнародного суду ООН, який зобов’язав Ізраїль припинити військовий наступ на місто Рафах.
5 червня Боррель офіційно передав запрошення міністру закордонних справ Ізраїлю Ісраелю Кацу.
Ізраїль відповів 20 червня листом посла Ізраїлю в ЄС і НАТО Хаїма Регева, де йдеться, що “існує як потреба, так і можливість скликати повне регулярне засідання Ради асоціації”.
