Зеленський уперше поговорив із новим прем'єром Ісландії – про безпекову угоду й саміт миру
Президент Володимир Зеленський 10 травня повідомив про першу телефонну розмову з новопризначеним прем'єр-міністром Ісландії Б’ярні Бенедіктссоном, під час якої обговорили прийдешній саміт миру та двосторонню співпрацю.
Про це Зеленський написав у Twitter (X), повідомляє "Європейська правда".
Голова держави подякував Бенедіктссону за згоду взяти участь у саміті миру у Швейцарії та готовність "використати свої особисті контакти в Африці, щоб залучити якнайбільше країн Глобального Півдня".
Також лідери обговорили підготовку до саміту Україна – Північна Європа, який "відбудеться незабаром", та перебіг переговорів про підписання двосторонньої безпекової угоди.

Своєю чергою прем'єр Ісландії висловив сподівання на зустріч із Зеленським найближчим часом для підписання двосторонньої угоди "про безпекову співпрацю та довгострокову підтримку". "Справедливий мир для України є нашим пріоритетом", – підкреслив він.
Колишній міністр закордонних справ і лідер Незалежної партії Б’ярні Бенедіктссон очолив уряд Ісландії на початку квітня після того, як його попередниця Катрін Якобсдоттір пішла у відставку для участі у президентських виборах.
Наприкінці квітня парламент Ісландії також ухвалив резолюцію про довгострокову підтримку України на період 2024-2028 років.
