Південна Корея заборонила продавати м'ясо собак
Прийнятий закон повністю набуде чинності 2027 року, тим часом торговцям планують помогти в переорієнтації бізнесу.
Національна Асамблея Південної Корея схвалила закон про заборону розведення собак на м'ясо, їх забою та продаж собачого м'яса. Про це повідомляє інформагентство Yonhap News.
За цю заборону проголосували 208 депутатів, двоє утрималися, голосів проти не було.
Закон повністю набуде чинності 2027 року після трирічного перехідного періоду. Порушникам усіх заборон, що вводяться, загрожуватиме штраф у розмірі до 30 млн он (22 768 доларів) або два-три роки ув'язнення. Однак вживання м'яса собак не каратиметься нічим.
Закон обіцяє допомогу тим, хто професійно займався розведенням собак на м'ясо, в переорієнтації бізнесу, підтримці робочих місць та субсидії.
У країні діє близько 1150 ферм із розведення собак, 34 бійні, 219 компаній-продавців та приблизно 1600 ресторанів, у меню яких є таке м'ясо.
Нагадаємо, що президент Південної Кореї Мун Чже Ін виступив з ініціативою заборони вживання в їжу собак в країні ще у 2021 році.
