У Польщі парламентський комітет рекомендує декриміналізувати аборти впродовж перших 12 тижнів вагітності, пише Politico.
Ультраправа партія “Право і справедливість” (PiS), яка керувала країною вісім років до виборів у жовтні минулого року, у 2020 році посилила правила абортів у Польщі до майже повної заборони. Дозволяються аборти лише у випадках зґвалтування або інцесту, а також якщо життя жінки є у небезпеці.
Новий уряд Польщі на чолі з колишнім президентом Європейської ради Дональдом Туском намагався направити закони країни в більш ліберальне русло, включно з пом’якшенням правил щодо абортів, але розбіжності всередині коаліції сповільнили прогрес.

У квітні парламент направив чотири різні пропозиції, як пом’якшити закони про аборти, до новоствореної спеціальної комісії законодавців, якій доручено розробити компромісний текст.
Вчора комітет ухвалив одну з пропозицій і рекомендував парламенту повністю декриміналізувати допомогу в проведенні абортів протягом перших 12 тижнів. Польський парламент розгляне цю пропозицію пізніше цього року.
