На південному заході Греції від пожежі постраждали близько 12 тисяч гектарів території.

У номі Ахая на півострові Пелопоннес лише з п’ятниці на суботу вигоріли понад 35 тисяч акрів (близько 12 тисяч гектарів) лісистої місцевості.
Такі дані наводять за результатами аналізу супутникових знімків Національної обсерваторії протягом 21 червня, коли почалася пожежа, з 15:00 до кінця доби.

Пожежа розширювалася зі швидкістю близько 1 км/год.
Поширення вогню стримали, коли він підійшов до краю лісів, де починаються сільськогосподарські угіддя.
Нагадаємо, цього тижня грецькі пожежники боролися одночасно з низкою пожеж по всій території країни, одна людина загинула.
