NYT знайшла місце, де в Білорусі може зберігатись російська ядерна зброя
Будівництво сховища для російської тактичної ядерної зброї на території Білорусі, ймовірно, почалось у березні 2023 року неподалік міста Осиповичі, де ще з радянських часів розташовувалась військова база.
Про це йдеться в публікації The New York Times, яка проаналізувала супутникові знімки об'єкта, повідомляє "Європейська правда".
Майданчик для зберігання російської ядерної зброї, пише NYT, розташований за приблизно 180 кілометрів на півнів від кордону з Україною.
Імовірне місце зберігання ядерних боєголовок розташоване в тому ж місті, що й білоруські ракети "Іскандер", які можуть бути використані для запуску ядерних або звичайних боєголовок і які Росія передала Білорусі у 2022 році.

Нові конструкції, будівництво яких виявили на супутникових знімках біля Осиповичів, мають особливості, унікальні для ядерних сховищ усередині Росії, пише The New York Times.
Приміром, нова зона з високим рівнем безпеки оточена трьома шарами огорожі на додаток до наявного периметру безпеки всієї бази. Також NYT помітив критий вантажний майданчик, з'єднаний з прихованим підземним бункером радянських часів.
Для захисту майданчика біля Осиповичів, як показують знімки, також було розгорнуто систему протиповітряної оборони – вона з'явилась не пізніше середини 2023 року.
Член Федерації американських вчених Ганс Крістенсен, який проаналізував об'єкт в Осиповичах, вважає, що об'єкти в Білорусі, "схоже, призначені для того, щоб нервувати найсхідніші країни-члени НАТО, але не дадуть Росії нової значної військової переваги в регіоні".
В останні тижні, за словами Крістенсена, на об'єкті розпочалося будівництво нових конструкцій: "Деталі ще не визначені, але будівництво явно вийшло на новий етап".
