Латвія закрила доступ до п’яти сайтів з російським пропагандистським контентом
Латвійська Національна рада з електронних ЗМІ (NEPLP) ухвалила рішення обмежити доступ у Латвії до п'яти сайтів, що поширюють російський пропагандистський контент.
Про це, як пише "Європейська правда", повідомляє портал Delfi.
NEPLP посилається на заяву Ради ЄС про ухвалення обмежувальних заходів у рамках санкцій проти "RT Balkan", "Oriental Review", "Царьград", "New Eastern Outlook" і "Katehon", і відповідно вирішила закрити доступ до пов'язаних із цими каналами сайтів "lat.rt.rs", "rt.rs", "m-by.tsargrad.tv", "journal-neo.org", "katehon.com" і їхніх дзеркальних сайтів.
Санкції проти російських каналів є частиною обмежувальних заходів у контексті дій Росії, що дестабілізують ситуацію в Україні.
NEPLP зазначає, що відповідно до закону про національні санкції, встановлені нормативними актами Європейського Союзу, є обов'язковими і безпосередньо застосовними в Латвії, тому Латвія повинна була відреагувати на доповнення до санкцій.
Рішення NEPLP може бути оскаржене, але це не зупиняє його дію.
Нагадаємо, в лютому Національна рада з електронних ЗМІ Латвії тимчасово обмежила доступ до низки пов'язаних із російськими пропагандистськими ЗМІ сайтів (здебільшого під блокування потрапили регіональні дзеркала Sputnik і RT) на території Латвії до зняття санкцій Європейського Союзу.
У квітні в Латвії почалася серія судових процесів, у якій фігурують 16 журналістів, що співпрацювали з російськими новинними порталами Sputnik і Baltnews та звинувачуються в порушенні санкцій Європейського Союзу.
